Rejected by another firm, I wasn't holding out much hope really- they were nice enough firm but really didn't like the fact i'd lived in 3 cities- in fact during the interview they kept coming back to that point!

A firm a couple of weeks back, liked me so much during the interview they asked me to come back for a second interview straight away. They said they'd contact me within the next 2 weeks to arrange a date. The 2 weeks is up...its not really looking very hopeful!

Then of course there are the 5 exams left that I have to take! Mixed emotions, I can take all my books in, and I 'think' that I understand the main crux of them, this however is only me 'thinking' that I can so i'm probably wrong! I cannot wait for the 22nd June, when the LPC is over! I've decided to stop applying for training contracts at the moment, and do some paralegal work. For which i've actually got some interview coming up- so fingers crossed!

Mum got her first all clear yesterday, so thats definitely something to be deliriously happy about!

In about 3 1/2 weeks time I will have finished my postgraduate course! I'm so excited, even though i've revising i'm just so happy. Now its just 2 years of a training contract, but at least i'm going to be earning money!!

Life is good, i've booked myself in to have 10 injections, an asthma check (as it has got much worse) and malaria tablets for going away in August! Believe it or not i'm actually excited about the injections! I have worked out how much weight i'm going to lose...and I WILL lose it!! However, the diet will have to start after the exams as it is impossible to try and revise and not eat crap!

Mum is better, its been over a year since she was diagnosed. On Friday it is her first post treatment check up. She's got to have another operation, her reconstruction has gone wrong. But if that is the only problem, i'm thankful! Amazingly i've actually started talking to my estranged cousins, my uncle has had 2 heart attacks in quick succession which I think may have helped. Its great getting to know my gorgeous little sencond cousin Archie.

Nick and I have even managed to set a year and month for our wedding!! October 2009, and it WILL be in a castle i've found one i've falled in love with!!

I'm off to watch Ugly Betty but as I have been yelled at again, I will try and update more- I promise as some one hinted I am not dead!!!!

As many of you know Nick's older brother is driving round the world at the moment in a LandRover (shipping of course across the water bits). Nick and I have a chance to join him around the middle of august to roughly the middle of september.

I desperately want to do this, firstly because I will never get to experience this again- driving down America and then through central America and secondly because i've only ever traveled in Europe and am desperate to go to America, and central America. The problem is that my resits are at the end of august and beginning of september....however there is something I should admit I don't actually know if I have failed these exams yet!!! Hence why this is hypothetical- my quandary is this I am allowed to resit any exams I have to in March so:

If I fail any exams should I:
(a) only go on expedition with Nick and Dan for a week or so then fly back home and take exams- this spending all of my summer revising instead of working.
(b) take the exams in March and go for the full month??

I don't have a training contract, its looking less likely that i'm going to be getting one soon...in March i will probably just be tempting or working as a paralegal- what should I do??

In other news, absolutley knackered, the LPC is incredibly hard and tiring...to be honest I can't wait for it to end! It demands everything from you, I recently failed an exam I took in January and am devastated...the reaction really surprised me...my normal reaction if I do badly is 'shit happens' this course amazes me as it demonstrates how much I have put in to this course and how much I want to do well- hence when I do badly i'm distraught.

I'm off to do more work!!!

I'm trying to prepare for an 'interviewing exam' tommorrow, where I interview an actor and pretend that a family member has died- its in probate!! Its so difficult! (to revise!)

On other matters the Departed is a very good film, Scorcese is fantastic (i've spelt it wrong i know)def want to buy it on dvd!

My brain is not really thinking straight, (screw that) thinking at all. :-s

Hello!

The LPC is a scary course, I didn't realise they could fit so much work and courses in 10 months!!! In 23 days I have 6 exams, that are my main complusory batch of exams. Included in this I have an advocacy exam and an interviewing exam, which are not too bad. But I then have a Business Accounts exam which is Yukky (with a capital Y) as I have to remeber lots of formulas and can take nothing in but a calculator. Although the other 4 are also major exams, and I failed 2 of the mocks (oops) I get to take the books in and I feel a bit more ready for them having had the practice mocks! Its a hard course, but its fun to finally start doing the practical side of law after 3 years of studying it is very welcome. Also starting to make some really good friends which is really great :)

Nick and I are staying in our flat for another year in Bristol. No training contracts seem to be materialising for me, despite applying every day for them. So paralegal work in Bristol is the next step, which i'm quite looking forward too. We've just had our 5 year anniversary, and have set a year 2009 (probably he he he). Hopefully we will be joining Dan (nick's older brother) on his expedition (www.lonewolftransglobal.co.uk- traveling round the world) in Los Angeles and then going down into Mexico and through central America when we will leave Dan and fly from Pananma back to England. Only problem is at the moment I have 4 exams in June and the resits are either August 2007, September 2007 or March 2008- i'm going from the 14th August-14th September so want to find out when the resits are in case the shit hits the fan!!

Mum is doing really well, she's got some job offers which is great, and the NHS are keeping their offer to her open until October. Her hair is now AN INCH LONG!!! which she is incredibly happy about (as our we!) Nick and I paid for Mum and Dad as a treat to go to Berlin (where my Dad was born and grew up) as Mum has never been and Dad really wants to go back. There going for Dad's birthday in March, and are both really looking forward to that. Both doing well and are happy.

My Dad has also just become a Civil Servant, no longer a Police man!! He still does the same job, but decided that the time had come for him to change! As you can probably tell, my Dad and I are getting on a lot better now, he actually talks to me...its really great...feeling a lot happier.
